At Elpis Centre...

Elpis Centre is a Glasgow-based charity that accommodates and provides support to young women aged 16 – 25 years – who are homeless, have experience of living in care or are seeking asylum. Up to 9 service users with high to medium needs are housed in the main tenement accommodation in Ruchill - staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days a year by professionally qualified and fully vetted staff. Service users with less complex needs are placed in one of our 9 scatter flats in Ruchill and Maryhill.

Elpis Centre assists young women to prepare for independence through individually tailored plans that focus on developing living skills, social skills, and learning and employment opportunities. In addition Elpis maintains a critical focus on health and emotional wellbeing to support young women to maximize opportunities to develop and grow. Plans are reviewed regularly and systematically with each young woman, Elpis staff, social work staff and other stakeholders, are established and reviewed in keeping with National Care Standards, GIRFEC and the SHANARRI Well- Being indicators.
